Viewing summary of rights

You use this procedure to view the rights of a user, user group, or user role. The summary view is a convenient way to review rights. The view also allows you to go the a specified role or object if you need to make adjustments to the rights.

  1. Search for the user, user group, or user role whose rights you want to view.
  2. In the User Rights assignment block, choose the View Summary of Rights button.

    The rights report opens.

  3. The following actions are available in this view:
    • Right-click a row to open a context menu.

The menu displays the options that are available for that particular row. You always have User, User Group, or User Role in the menu but objects to which you can directly go vary. The object must be a single item: for example, All, Self, and User Service are not offered as options in the context menu.

    • Choose which rights types are displayed.

By default, the rights that descend from the All level are also displayed. This option refers to a situation in which a user has rights to all items of a particular object (for example presence profiles) but also has some rights to individual items of the objects.

      example:

A user has rights to view, to modify, to create, and to delete all presence profiles in the system. In addition to this, the user has rights to use Lunch, Vacation, Meeting, Business Trip, Away, and Available. Therefore, the summary displays the following rights type for the profile Lunch:
