Getting Started
This section introduces the E911 feature.
Introduction
This document describes the E911 (emergency location) feature in Sinch Contact Pro used in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.
What is E911 feature
According to the requirements of the federal laws (Kari’s Law and Section 506 of RAY BAUM’S Act), Multi-line Telephone Systems (MLTS) must be able to:
- Route an emergency call to a public-safety answering point (PSAP) without dialing any prefixes.
- Deliver the caller's location and valid callback number.
- Send a notification to onsite security personnel.
Sinch Contact Pro complies with these regulations and supports E911 feature via Inteliquent.
The supported agent application is Communication Panel.
