Configuring E911 Feature

This section instructs in implementing the emergency location feature.

To use the emergency location feature, you need:

  1. Inteliquent trunk from which emergency calls are routed to a public-safety answering point (PSAP). Sinch sets this up upon customer request.
  2. A switching route in System Configurator > Call Switching > Switching Routes to transfer emergency calls to the Inteliquent trunk. Sinch configures the route.
  3. The Superusers role to define the settings in System Configurator (SC) and a user with the Emergency Admin role to create emergency locations in the Dashboard application.
  4. Inteliquent settings, emergency numbers, and notification addresses defined in System Configurator > System Services > Emergency Location Settings. Sinch defines the Inteliquent settings, and you configure the emergency numbers, addresses where a notification of the emergency call will be sent, and which queue is used as a sender.
  5. The Emergency User role and the setting System Configurator > User and Role Management > User Settings Template > Communication Panel Settings > Enable Emergency Feature selected for agents to choose or create an emergency location in Communication Panel.
