Assigning User Rights
-
You must have rights to create users or to modify the user’s settings.
-
You must have rights to view the object to which rights are given (for example queues).
-
You must have grant rights of the access type (for example serve in queues as forced).
You use this procedure to assign user rights. However, we recommend that instead assigning rights directly to individual users you give rights through user roles and user groups.
- On the System Configurator main screen, choose .
-
Search for the user account to which you want to assign rights.
The search result list appears.
- Choose the user by double-clicking it.
- Choose User Rights.
-
Choose the view type.
Only the Advanced view includes the Grant option.
- Choose the object type.
-
Choose the filter from the following options:
-
Inherited
This option displays the user’s rights obtained through user groups and roles.
-
Direct
This option displays the rights given the user directly, not through roles or groups.
-
All
This option displays both inherited and direct rights.
-
- Select the appropriate access level for the objects (for example the View rights to all queues).
- Save your entries.
