Configuring Multiterminal Desktop (MTD) for IP Desk Phones
Use
You use this procedure to make desk phones act as MTD terminals.
When the desk phone is used as an MTD terminal, the External Terminal Controller (ETC) component denies any direct calls from the desk phone. If the desk phone number is not the same as your number, inbound calls to the extension are handled as if you were logged out.
Procedure

On the Communication Desktop (CDT) user interface, choose .

Select the Use MTD option.
ETC stores the MTD status until it is changed in CDT, and the desk phone re-registrations during the session have no effect.
