Defining Language Priorities
Use
You use this procedure to define the priority of other system languages. The default language of the system has been defined in Infrastructure Administrator (IA) during installation.
Prerequisites
You must have rights to modify the default system language.
Procedure
On the System Configurator main screen, choose
and define the priority of languages.Language Priority in the System Configurator (SC) Application
The language priority is as follows:

SC language (English, German, French, or Japanese)

User interface language if it is one of the four SC languages

System default language
Language Priority in End-User Applications
The language priority is as follows:

User interface language (Communication Panel,Dashboard, Online Monitoring, and Communication Desktop)

System default language

The next match in the priority list (defined in SC)
A system has a help desk queue that has been entered into the system in English and in Russian. The queue name is displayed to users as follows:

When the user interface language of a user is German and the system language is Russian, the queue name
Help Desk
is displayed in Russian. -
When the user interface language of a user is German and the system language is Japanese, the name is displayed in the language with the higher priority (either English or Russian).
Prompt Language in Chat Queues
The language in chat prompts is determined in the following way:

When the chat language is defined in the chat client and that language available in chat prompts, the language defined in the client is used.

When the chat language is defined in the chat client but that language is not available in chat prompts, the system default language is used.

When the chat language is not defined in the chat client, the extension or queue language is used if it is available in chat prompts. Otherwise the system default language is used.
