Identifiers

Sinch Conversation API uses different IDs to identify conversations, contacts, and messages. For more information, see Conversation API. These identifiers can be used to trace Sinch Contact Pro chat data across Sinch integrations.

Sinch Contact Pro stores the following Conversation API IDs for incoming (mobile originated) and outgoing (mobile terminated) events: contact_id, conversation_id, and message_id. To retrieve Sinch Contact Pro chat data, use the CMI resource /chatMessages.

Note that IDs are not stored in the following cases:

  • delivery errors in case sending response to a customer conversation fails

  • agent left/joined a conversation in Sinch Chat

  • when the disconnect prompt is sent by Sinch Contact Pro (if configured)

  • messages sent via CMI /messages
