IP Desk Phones
The External Terminal Controller (ETC) module enables the use of IP desk phones in the Sinch Contact Center system in the same way as Communication Desktop (CDT).
The desk phone functions, such as transferring and connecting calls, and consultation call options, depend on the desk phone model used. For more information, see the desk phone documentation.
When you change your presence profiles, log on to a queue or log off from a queue, or change your status, a successful action is indicated as a connected call in the desk phone, and an error is indicated by the busy sound. If your system contains the ETC IVR application, you hear prompts stating whether your action has been successful.
The DTMF characters used for changing presence status and queue logon and logoff in this documentation are the default values. However, administrators can change the default values. For more information, contact your administrator.
