Default Ports of Sinch Contact Center Components
The configurable internal ports can be configured during installation in the Infrastructure Administrator (IA) tool as installation variables of each package, unless otherwise stated.
RTP ports can be used for secure RTP (SRTP) as well.

Media Routing Server (MRS)
The total UDP (RTP) port range in firewalls and in the MRS module depends on the number of concurrent calls. Typically calls from CDT to CDT are point to point without consuming MRS resources, nor ports on firewalls between the datacenter and the client network. Server-side recording and NAT services require relaying all voice streams to a MRS server. Also all calls going via a PSTN gateway (on server network) are consuming ports on a MRS server and intermediate firewalls.
The port area used in Sinch Contact Center system is defined in the Infrastructure Administration (IA) during MRS installation in the following way:
-
For the prompt operations: To reserve enough resources, define the number of Maximum Number of Simultaneous Prompts. The required port area starts from the First Port of Prompt Area (default value is 8000), and extends to twice the number defined for Maximum Number of Simultaneous Prompts.
example:Define 200 (the default value) Maximum Number of Simultaneous Prompts, and use the default value 8000 for First Port of Prompt Area, the required port area is 8000 – 8400.
-
For the recording operations: To reserve enough resources, define the number of Maximum Number of Simultaneous Recordings. The required port area starts from the First Port of Recording Area (default value is 9000) and extends to six times the number defined for Maximum Number of Simultaneous Recordings.
example:Define 200 (the default value) Maximum Number of Simultaneous Recordings, and use the default value 9000 for First Port of Recording Area, the required port area is 9000 – 10200.
