Defining Location for Prompts

Use

You use this procedure to define the global file location for prompts. We recommend using the global location whenever possible.

Note: If you need to update this setting in Sinch Contact Pro cloud, contact Sinch support.

Note:

If you define a location-specific path in Infrastructure Administrator (IA) for Agent Server or Media Routing Server (MRS), make sure the files are replicated to the global location as well. For more information about playing prompts from different locations, see the Installation Guide.

Prerequisites

You must have Modify rights to Prompt Service.

Procedure

Enter a path to define the central location where the prompts are saved. This path is used for all prompts in the system, unless you define a location-specific path in Agent Server or Media Routing Server (MRS) in Infrastructure Administrator (IA).

In a clean installation, the path is \\xxx\Prompts\ so you must define the correct path. We recommend using UNC paths.

Note:

If you change the location, you must restart Agent Server (AS), and Media Routing Server (MRS).
