Accessing Communication Desktop

Administrators give you an HTTP address (http://[Contact Center Website]/cdt) from where you access CDT and optional company-specific logon instructions.

  1. Open the browser and enter the appropriate HTTP address to open the logon window.

    If you want to create a shortcut icon onto your desktop, copy the icon using drag and drop from the address field. Double-click the shortcut icon to open the logon window.

    You can also save the address into the Favorites menu in the browser to access it quickly later.

  2. Enter your user name and password.

    If the system is configured to use the client certificate and a correct certificate is installed on your workstation, the application starts and you do not have to enter your user credentials.

  3. Click OK.

    The application opens.

Troubleshooting

If you have problems before or during the logon, contact the administrator for further information. The reason can be one of the following:

  • You do not have sufficient user rights. They are defined in the System Configurator application.

  • You are trying to start the software on the wrong Web page.

  • The terminal component has not been installed on your workstation, or there is something wrong with the certificate.

  • The web browser security settings are invalid or insufficient.

  • The network connections are not working properly.
