Dial Pad
You can use the dial pad for making or transferring phone calls or entering Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) inputs during a call.
To open the dial pad, click the + icon and select Make a Call:
The Make a Call popup opens:
The Make a Call option in the + menu is enabled if you have phone capability, and the buttons in the Make a Call popup are enabled depending on your authorized capabilities:
- The Call button is enabled if you have entered phone number in the field.
- The Transfer button is enabled when you have an active call, and you have entered another phone number in the field.

The Close button is always enabled, it closes the Dial Pad.
You can enter numbers from the Communication Panel keypad or via your keyboard. Initiate dialing out with the Call button or keyboard's Enter key.
During a call, you can enable DTMF mode by clicking the DTMF button:
In DTMF mode, you can send DTMF, for example when answering to responses in an IVR. DTMF tones are sent using the audible in-band method.
