Installing MS Windows Server Software
Install the MS Windows Server software on all servers
You must also define a domain account and give it appropriate rights. As of SP09, you can also use Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSA).
Consider also the following options:
-
On the servers that are planned to be web servers, make additional web server configurations.
-
If the logical databases are installed on separate databases enable MSDTC.
-
We recommend defining Quality of Service for the network.
-
Installing the High Availability Driver, also called as the GARP driver, may be necessary in some rare cases.
-
See also some considerations on Firewalls and Virus Scanners.
Note: Make sure that in a Contact Center system all servers where Core virtual units are
installed (that is, CEM Server, Call Dispatcher and Data Collector packages) are set to
be on the same time zone. Otherwise skill and required agent functions may not
work.
Note: It is not recommended to use NIC teaming in load balancing mode.
