Certificates on Client Workstations
Using and checking certificates on client workstations
Install certificates on client workstations in the following occasions:
-
When a type x.509 certificate is used for user authentication, see Using Client Certificates for User Authentication. For instructions how to acquire such a certificate, see Installation Guide > Certificates.
-
If a self-signed certificate (not issued by a public Certificate Authority, CA) is used for encrypting the client-server connection, a CA certificate of the issuer must be installed on the client workstation as well, see Providing Trusted Root for Server Certificate.
-
To make sure that the certificate is installed on the workstation, see Checking Certificates Installed on Workstation.
