Tracing

Tracing is enabled in the system. You can trace either calls to specified B numbers, or a session of System Configurator (SC).

In tracing, the highest logging level (debug) information is saved in the default log file. When a B number is traced, the text TraceMessageId and the trace id is added to the logs of all calls made to this number, and when a SC session is traced, all log items related to that session are marked with a trace id that can be searched in the log file. Use Downloading Logs to collect the traced logs.

  • To start tracing certain B numbers, enter a comma-separated list of B numbers in the SIP bridge logging settings (as of SP07), see Setting Log Levels.

Until SP06 Patch 1, define B numbers in SIP Bridge installation variables in Infrastructure Administration.

  • To start System Configuration session tracing, choose File > Tracing > Enable Tracing. To find the id the session is marked with, choose File > Tracing > Show Traced Session ID. To stop tracing, choose File > Tracing > Disable Tracing.
