Monitoring Database Server installation variables are:

Use Windows Authentication for Database Connections |
Specify whether Windows authentication should be used for database connections. The selection is on by default, and we recommend using it. With Windows authentication, you can leave database password fields empty. If you remove the selection, SQL logon is used, and you must enter database user name and password for each database connection, and they are saved in registry and log files as plain text. If you enter Monitoring Database Password while having this option selected, the password is ignored. (Added in SP06 Patch 1) |
Maintenance Address or Name of the Database Server for Monitoring Database |
This address should be available when applying the changes to the host. Typically this is the database server’s physical address. |
Monitoring Database Server Address or Name |
This is the address used by the applications to access the database. |
Monitoring Database Name |
The default name is [Configuration Database Name]_Monitoring. |
Monitoring Database User Name |
The value defined for Configuration Database is used automatically by default. |
Monitoring Database Password |
The value defined for Configuration Database is used automatically by default. If you change the default function, note that information in this field will be visible in plain text in some files and in Windows registry. |
Database Collation |
Choose database collation from the list. |
Default Time Zone |
Choose the default time zone from the list. |

Select how long time history data is saved for monitoring history searches. The default value is 1 month. |
Collect Statistics for Agent Status Change Log |
To collect statistics for agent status change log for a third party use, choose the checkbox. Activate only in systems where required, for example with Work Force Management integrations. Added in SP08 |
