Installing Virtual Units for ECF

CAUTION:

Use HTTP only for demo and testing purposes. In real production environments, leave the HTTP port empty, and if there is IIS on the server, define for the HTTPS port a value that is different from the IIS default port 443 in ECF Web Server variables.

Note:

As of 1608:

  • There is no separate installation package for Terminal Server: the functionality has been moved to Agent Server.

  • There is no ECF Virtual Unit template.

If you are installing an earlier version, install Terminal Server and ECF Web Server packages using the ECF Virtual Unit template.

  1. In Infrastructure Administrator (IA), install the ECF Web Server software package.

    You also need Agent Server (AS).

    For information about the variables of these packages, see Agent Server and ECF Web Server.

  2. If you use widgets also at the visitor end, install another ECF Web Server package to another VU.

  3. For other packages ECF functions require, see the table below:
