Element Properties: Process Controller

Windows Process controller settings:

  • Full path to process executable:

  • Process start up information:

    • Parameters when starting to activate role:

    • Parameters when starting to set standby role:

    • Username: Enter a string. With an empty value HAC runs the process with the same user ID as the HAC itself is run with.

    • Password: Enter a string. The clear text password for the user.

  • Process Priority: The priority of the created process. Choose one of Default, Idle, Normal, or Realtime.

  • Use HAC Control Events to Trigger Active-Standby Transitions. Select this option to use HAC events for switching from active to standby and vice versa.

Windows Service controller settings:

  • Service Name: The actual name of the service instead of the displayed name.

  • Username: Enter a string. With an empty value HAC runs the process with the same user ID as the HAC itself is run with.

  • Password: Enter a string. The clear text password for the user.

  • Process Priority: The priority of the created process. One of Default, Idle, Normal, or Realtime.

Shell Command Line controller settings:

  • Activate Command The complete command line to activate the component.

  • Inactivate Command : The complete command line to inactivate the component.

  • Force Inactivate Command: The complete command line to inactivate the component forcefully.

  • Standby Command String: The complete command line to set the component to standby.

  • Soft Reset Command: The complete command line to soft-reset the component.

  • Hard Reset Command: The complete command line to hard-reset the component.

IIS Site controller settings

Web Site: The identifier of the IIS web site to be controlled. The identifier may be the IIS metabase path (for example /LM/W3SVC/1 or just /W3SVC/1) or the name of the site (the server comment such as Default Web Site).
