Logging Modules

Most logging modules used in Logging Configuration wizard are the same as installed software packages, but some packages have additional modules that may be of interest in certain troubleshooting scenarios. The Logging Module Names listed in the table below are selectable items in the wizard, and technical names are written in the log file. All modules listed below may not be found in your system, but the list in the wizard shows only the ones in your system.

Logging modules may have submodules whose logging levels can be adjusted as well. To adjust the submodule levels, choose the upper logging module first, and then set the right level in the second step of the wizard, see Setting Log Levels.

When Logs Are Needed column below lists scenarios when a certain module’s logs may be required for troubleshooting. These are just examples, troubleshooting may require a combination of logs from very different modules, always follow the instructions you get from the product support.
