Recording and Activating New Voicemail Greetings

  • You must have a PIN code, administrators or superusers set it in System Configurator User and Role Management > Users > Authentication.

  • To change a queue voicemail greeting, you must have rights to manage voicemails.

You use this procedure to record new personal and queue voicemail greetings.

  1. Dial the voicemail box number to access the voicemail IVR application.

    If you call from your mobile phone, the number must be recognized (that is, it exists in the database).

    After you have dialled the voicemail number, you hear a greeting message.

  2. Press the pound key (#) during the greeting.

    Menu options are played to you.

    Note:

    The queue voicemail menu is identical with personal voicemail menu.

  3. Choose the option To manage your voicemail greetings, press [four].

    Submenu options are played to you.

  4. Choose the option To manage your personal greetings press [two].

    The final submenu options are played to you.

  5. Choose the option To record new personal greeting press [one].
  6. Record the new voicemail greeting and when you have finished, choose the pound key (#).
  7. To save and activate the new greeting, choose the option To save and activate the greeting you recorded, press [one].
