Manager-Assistant Function

A group of people (assistants) can answer inbound calls on behalf of another predefined person (manager). All standard queue functions are available in the manager queue. Administrators create the manager queue and give rights for the manager and assistants.

Queue Icons and Colors

The manager queue name is red if you are an assistant and green if you are the manager.

The Manager Presence icon indicates the manager’s availability to receive calls:

  • Green

The number is free to receive calls.

  • Red

    The number is busy.

  • Gray

The manager is not available because the manager is logged off or has an absence profile.

Only the assistant can see this icon.

Serving in Manager Queue

You serve in the manager queue in the same way as in other queues. If the manager queue mode is hunt group, the assistant is able to answer an inbound call slightly before the manager.

The number of users serving in the queue is in the following format:

0 + n.

The first number indicates the manager’s availability: 1 means that the manager is serving in the queue, 0 that the manager is not serving in the queue. A manager who is serving the manager queue as an external agent is interpreted to be serving in the queue. The number after the plus sign (+) is the number of assistants. Place the cursor on the field and a tooltip displays the status of assistants.
