Join and Leave Queues

Join the queue to receive conversations from it.

To receive auto-allocated conversations from a queue, join that queue and set your status Ready. You are then considered as serving in the queue.

Joining Queues in a Queue Group

  • Using presence profiles

Administrators may have defined presence profiles that are linked with a queue group. When you select such a profile, you'll automatically join all queues in that queue group and you'll leave any queue that is not part of the queue group. You can leave queues of a queue group individually or by selecting a profile not connected to a queue group in which case you will revert to the serving queues you had selected prior to the presence profile change.

  • Using grouping filter

You can join queues in a queue group by filtering the Home view with the grouping filter.

  1. To join all queues with one click, select the Join all listed queues checkbox. Alternatively, select a queue's checkbox.
    Note the following:
    • The option Join all listed queues assigns you to all queues currently listed. For example, if you have filtered the queue list to display only part of your queues, you join only the listed queues.
    • If you already have joined other queues that are not shown in the list, you remain serving in these queues.
    Note:
  2. To leave several queues with one click, deselect the option Leave all listed queues. Alternatively, remove selection from each queue's checkbox separately.
    Note:

The Leave all listed queues option removes you only from the queues currently listed in the view. For example, if you have filtered the queue list to display only part of your queues, you are removed from the queues visible in the list.
