Notification Dot

A notification dot appears in the following situations.

The System Offers You a New Conversation

You see a notification dot with a plus icon when the system offers you a new conversation:

The Customer Has Sent New Messages in an Active Conversation

You see a notification dot that shows the number of unseen messages from the customer in an active conversation if you are currently viewing another conversation:

If you are not on the Conversations tab, a red notification dot appears on the tab:

Timer Is in Use for Conversations

A timer can be used in Communication Panel to show the user how long an active conversation has lasted.

Administrators define handling time limits for conversations in System Configurator.

When 75% of the defined handling time limit has passed, the conversation timer changes from grey to orange. An orange exclamation point also appears in the Conversations list:

When the handling time has passed, the timer changes from orange to red. The exclamation point in the Conversations list changes to red:

If you have unseen messages from the customer, you will see the number of messages instead of an exclamation point in the Conversations list.

Extensions Hold Saved or Updated Information

If internal notes have been added to the conversation, the icon shows an orange notification dot .

If attached data shown in Conversation Details has been updated, the icon shows an orange notification dot .
